Technical Engineer 2
Overview of Position
Build, configure, install, and upgrade Servers and Workstations. Responsible for the implementation, testing and training on Change Healthcare (CHC) Enterprise Hosted Imaging products. This includes installing, upgrading, configuring servers and workstations, to ensure that system performance is in accordance to specifications for optimal patient care/regulatory requirements. Additional tasks include training on-site technical and clinical staff to be familiar with our product. This position requires 30% travel.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Deploying/configuring Enterprise Imaging hosted solutions
Preparing, testing and/or upgrading Enterprise Imaging hosted solutions and system databases
Performing software installation, system configuration, quality test, packing and documentation according to Enterprise Imaging defined processes
Responsible for all parts issued for builds which include counting, recording, exchange, replacement, report shortages and filing RMA reports
Responsible for onsite asset review included as part of the implementation and transition to the Support group
Performing Final Quality Assurance for finished systems as assigned in accordance with Enterprise Imaging quality systems
Providing customer training on Enterprise Imaging hosted solutions as needed
Participating in departmental initiatives including documentation and process improvements
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer technology diploma or equivalent or 2 years of related experience in lieu
Minimum 2 years of IT experience building and configuring systems as well as supporting both internal and external customers
MCSA certification is an asset (or equivalent covering Windows Server and Active Directory administration)
CCNA certification is an asset (or equivalent covering Networking, NAT, VLAN, and Load Balancing
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Microsoft OS-level support. Knowledge of Windows servers, databases, networking, and enterprise-class information systems
Radiology workflow and PACS experience
Understanding of HL7 and DICOM
How much should I expect to travel?
This position may require up to 30% travel
Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
Please note that it is preferred you be in your current position for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible to apply for other internal positions.
