Job Summary:

Change Healthcare is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 3 working remotely from anywhere in the US, for a cross functional role dealing with multiple clients. The BSA3 will facilitate requirements elicitation sessions, gather business requirements, work closely with developers to assist in development of technical requirements, and serve as the business interface for the development team.

What are the duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Writes business requirements that accurately represent the business need and conveys those needs to a developer such that the project timelines are easily met
  • For complex requests/projects, leads or performs analysis of business and user needs, constructs requirements documentation, can translate business requirements into technical requirements, and review requirements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducts interviews to gather new requirements autonomously; employs facilitation and elicitation techniques as needed to discuss requirements with customers and users; uses specific group and collaborative methods for collecting requirements
  • Has a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
  • Communicates the business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team and serve as business interface from the enterprise’s operational management team managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor Degree OR 5 years of professional work experience
  • Previous experience with the claims payment applications (Facets, Diamond, Quantum Choice, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, technical systems; ability to identify technical solutions for business problems
  • Understand the Software Development Life cycle (both waterfall and agile)
  • Ability to understand complex file layouts and interpret operational needs from files
  • Experience analyzing customer Issues and resolving via research and working with solution engineering and/or IT solutions
  • Experience working with information exchange between providers, clearinghouses and/or payers within healthcare

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Strong Analytical capabilities and troubleshooting experience
  • Professional communication, critical thinking, problem solving, technical aptitude
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines while providing quality results
  • Basic Project Management skills
  • Healthcare Business Process Acumen (HCFA and UBI Claims forms translation from EDI 837 P&I)
  • Must be self-sufficient, and have the ability to work independently
  • Ability to formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and due diligence

Colorado Residents Only:

The base pay range for Colorado residents is $75,525.00 - $139,125.00 plus any relevant incentive pay programs that may be aligned to the role.
