Overview of Position
A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files. Job Responsibilities: Review and approve material for standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Review and approve edits or changes made to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel. Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication. Review published materials and recommended revisions or changes in scope, format, content and methods of reproduction and binding. Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.

• 5 to 7 years of experience

• Research - Audience analysis, user experience
• Writing - User Manuals, Technical Reports, Policies & Procedures, Case Studies
• Editing - Proofreading, content review, structure / style, technical vocabulary
• Design - Information design / architecture, typography, graphic design
• Teamwork - Team building, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making
• Planning & Organization - Managing multiple assignments at one time

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

Remote role – Sitting for long periods of time

Remote Environment – designated work area with little to no noise

How much should I expect to travel?

Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
