Change Healthcare’s Imaging business is hiring. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Clouds Sales Team supporting both from a technical and consultative perspective, to maximize the sales and other financial objectives for the Cloud Solutions product portfolio.

The Sales Engineer, is the key person in all aspects of deal strategy including competitive positioning strategy, pricing strategy, presentation strategy and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal.  Knowledge of cloud architecture in healthcare is a must as this position will play a lead role in the imaging and cloud architecture in the sales cycle. The right candidate will seek to uncover and understand the competitive environment in healthcare market as well as compile, analyze and provide insights on competitors. The right candidate is used to making significant contributions to an entire ecosystem, not just one component or application.

MINIMUM Qualifications:

Education / Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree/MBA preferred.
  • Cloud related certifications (AWS, Google, Azure)


Business Experience:

  • Minimum of six years healthcare experience with at least 2 years of cloud platform experience

Specialized Knowledge / Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing and become a trusted advisor to technical and business decision makers.
  • Knowledge and experience with healthcare– understand their pain points, use cases for Cloud, purchasing processes.
  • Support sales with all aspects of deal strategy including competitive positioning strategy, pricing strategy, presentation strategy and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal. This includes product configuration, competitive information, and product implementation/training.
  • Proficient in cloud architecture and platform including security
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies to include AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  • Ability to structure deals individually to meet the needs of our customers from a solution and pricing perspective and ensure optimal deal mix. Includes understand deal margin to support sales negotiation
  • Provide strategy and content input for RFPs
  • Assess and act on win/loss analysis, market trends and current bookings/revenue forecasts
  • Support, coach, and develop Sales and Architects on features, solutions and trends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an open, honest, and direct communication style and ability to build relationships across an organization to accomplish goals
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce or other CRMs and healthcare information systems
  • Willingness to engage in both tactical hands-on work and strategic work as needed to manage and complete priorities

Travel required 30%
