Position:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst will be responsible reviewing EMS patient reports, documentation, claims and associated billing related correspondence, managing signature and account holds, verifying patient demographic and insurance information, and providing the County and Service Provider with reports and feedback to help improve the billing and claims process and revenue, all in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local ambulance transportation and HIPAA laws. Relies on a broad skill set of technical experience, industry knowledge, judgment and continual skill development to plan and accomplish goals; regularly performing and managing time against a variety of complicated tasks with varying priorities under general supervision.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a direct liaison between field paramedics writing the ePCR's, field supervisors, administrative Chiefs and the County Finance section.

  • Have extensive knowledge and work history in the ambulance billing sector.

  • Performadministrativeactivitiesandotherdutiesthatarenecessarytoenable theEMSdocumentation andbilling process to run efficientlyworkingwiththeFireChiefandtheFinanceDirector

  • Stays current andprovidesboth the County and Service Provider withupdatesonthelatestFederal,StateandLocalregulatoryissuesrelatedtoambulanceserviceandbilling

  • Conduct daily, a pre-review on all ePCR's prior to placing them in a "Ready for Billing" status to ensure that all minimum requirements are met that allow the incident to be coded and claimed

  • Evaluates and tests Revenue Cycle functions performed by domestic employees and outsourced resources to determine conformity to established processing guidelines

  • Reviews user documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Provides feedback related to risk assessment on potential defects and functional / requirement gaps.

  • Documents defects with detail and accuracy

  • Identify and document any findings whereas course content and training materials need to be updated and pass onto the operations management team for approval and updates made to the training material. 

  • QA responsibility includes, but not limited to, onshore new users, offshore new users, as well as new client implementations QA, and focused audits (client, carrier, and/or consultant requested audits).

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Leadership

Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit on client site daily--Green Cove Springs, Florida

  • High School Diploma required, additional education preferred and/or equivalent experience preferred

  • 2+ years of applicable work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Independently performs tasks of moderate complexity

  • Consistently delivers quality work during allotted timeframes

  • Proven ability to take on additional responsibilities, recommend improvements solutions

  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and proficiency in Revenue Cycle Management Services

  • Excellent core value performance

  • Provide and communicate report trending of findings that potentially impact overall performance, maintaining statistical information.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent organizational, communication, follow up, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong personal computer literacy required including working knowledge of relevant software packages such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word), Practice Management systems (MDIV, IDX, etc), as well as imaging systems (Image Now/PC7, etc).

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of data, including diligent checks for integrity, summation, and effective communication (written and verbal) to internal and external constituents.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

New York and New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $45,885 - $79,800.The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $39,900– $66,500.The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $47,880 – $79,800.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Change Healthcare offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The base pay range for this position is $13.48 - $29.93
