Title:Director of Business/Operational Forecasting - Payment

Overview of Position

The Director of Business/Operational Forecasting is responsible for leading and scaling the key operational metrics and business/operational forecasting functions for the Payment Accuracy business unit. This role is responsible for the strategy, management, and ongoing improvement of business forecasting models in addition to client and operational reporting for the Payment Accuracy businesses (Prospective and Retrospective Chart Audit Solutions, COB, etc.)  Ultimately accountable for driving a more predictable operational forecasting model and a process to monitor overall business performance.


What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Oversee and manage the Payment Accuracy monthly operational forecasting and process. Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance, including all areas of revenue, headcount, expenses and operating metrics. Communicate key information across a $200M division to build awareness of volume, metrics and significant variations in performance.
  • Develop intelligent forecasting tools and leverage data for predictive analysis to influence decisions that support our strategic direction. Identify and implement technology and other tools to improve overall reporting and workforce planning/management capabilities.
  • Cultivate a deep partnership with Finance/Accounting, Operations and Client Delivery teams to ensure accurate reporting and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Accurate operational/business forecasts are essential for managing the cost and quality of the service we provide to our customers. This is a high visibility role that works across the Payment Accuracy leadership team. The position requires advanced leadership skills, the ability to develop effective partnerships within the team and across the organization, and the analytical expertise to deliver forecasting models that are both statistically sound and easily explained.
  • This role will work cross-functionally with senior division leadership, operations, finance, HR and other key internal partners.  Prioritization of demands and requests along with project requirements is essential.


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 6 + years of experience in financial/operational forecasting, reporting, analysis, and modeling
  • Experience with Payment integrity chart audit, chart review, pre-pay editing, coordination of benefits, post-pay payment integrity services
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in finance, accounting or related field). A Master’s degree is a plus

  • Ability to drive innovation, organizational efficiencies and cost reduction while optimizing forecasting and reporting development
  • Business experience preferred​.

10 to 15%
