Senior Applications Deign Analyst

Overview of Position
Applications Design Analyst provides a detailed and thorough software solution to meet or resolve a business need or problem. The Designer determines the solution and then details out each change needed in order to implement it within an application or service.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Determine how to incorporate the business requirements for our applications and services
  • Determine the appropriate changes required to meet the business requirements
  • Collaborate with Software Architects and Database Administrators to determine the best technical approach and solution
  • Design the process flows, screen prototypes, interface changes, database changes, and/or other applicable changes
  • Document the detailed design to provide the team implementing the changes
  • Lead Design Review meetings to review the details of the documented solutions and an overview of the business requirements the solution meets.
  • Participate in product demonstrations as the subject matter expert for the functionality and application or service
  • Lead meetings with customers, stakeholders, and development teams to review business requirements and proposed detailed design solutions

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or Biology
  • (or 2+ years equivalent job experience or pharmacy experience)
  • An Applications Design Analyst determines the solution to meet the business need/requirement based on business and application or services knowledge, thus, they will regularly need to make decisions regarding the implementation of the solution. This position requires regular decision making and leading the solution implementation with the development team on the enhancements and defects
  • Must communicate with all levels of the organization including team members, management, customers, and other third-party vendors
  • An Applications Design Analyst determines the solution to meet the business need/requirement based on business and application or services knowledge, thus, they will regularly need to make decisions regarding the implementation of the solution. This position requires regular decision making and leading the solution implementation with the development team on the enhancements and defects
  • A Design Analyst is at the forefront of innovation. They are required to take a problem or need and come up with a solution. It is common for new workflows to be designed by an Applications Design Analyst along with new business to business messaging functions

How much should I expect to travel?
