Overview of Position

Change Healthcare Data Solutions enables & licenses data & analytics to solve healthcare’s most pressing challenges. To meet strong demand, we are looking to immediately expand our team.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for generating new revenue & developing strategic partnerships using a consultative approach within an assigned vertical. Territory is nationwide, candidates can be based anywhere in the US (remote position with exception to necessary travel 30%).

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Build & maintain relationships with key constituents in assigned vertical.
• Employ an effective consultative approach to meeting customer objectives. Use solid listening & critical thinking to design winning solutions for customers.
• Effectively capture customer needs in a formal use case definition. Develop proposals that meet customer & Change Healthcare needs.
• Develop & close new business – identify & qualify opportunities, proactively manage the selling process, negotiate & close deals.
• Collaborate with senior sales & product, legal & tech team members to create comprehensive selling strategies for assigned target markets and target opportunities.
• Identify, capture & communicate marketplace feedback to our product & executive team

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 3-5 years’ experience consultative selling of complex healthcare data & analytics
• Pre-existing relationships & knowledge of key constituents in assigned vertical
• Extensive knowledge of data/analytics in the healthcare ecosystem, and its power to bend the cost curve and improve health outcomes
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools to develop effective prospect communications & materials
• BS/BA

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Extensive claims knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills – good listener, critical thinking, effective communicator, creative, intellectual curiosity, self-starter& team player. Problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset that can effectively manage multiple projects across internal & external stakeholders
• Organized/disciplined – can plan work and work a plan. Proven self-starter, can manage multiple, competing priorities, able to work and learn independently.
• Strong marketing background – familiarity with MarTech and AdTech

How much should I expect to travel?

Up to 30% travel

Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
