Travel up to a 50-mile radius of your geographic area or agreed distance
Medical Records Field Reviewers will secure medical records from doctors’ offices within a 50-60-mile radius and input the information into a Chart Acquisition Tool. You will either work within Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Sets (HEDIS) where you will review “report cards” for Health Plans to ensure they are providing the quality care and services to the members they insure or Payment Integrity Audits (PIA) where you will ensure Health Plans are billing correctly through the Centers for Medicare Medicaid.
Travel to medical facilities or provider offices in specified areas to complete review services
Communicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilities
Accurately and efficiently manage paper medical recordsor an EMR/EHR platform to retrieve information
Scan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performed
Upload extracted medical records per assignment
Maintain quality and production standards required in accordance with company policy
Comply with HIPAA laws and regulations
Present a professional appearance and attitude when on assignment - business attire is required for all appointments
Two (2) years of hands-on experience with electronic and paper medical records or charts
Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius
Current automobile insurance
EMR/EHR experience is a plus
RN, LPN, Certified Coder, RHIT or RHIA, Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or related experience

A working cell phone with voicemail accessible to Change Healthcare Personnel
The ability to carry and transport safely up to 30-35 pounds of equipment (Laptop and Scanner)
Travel may be offered to Field Reviewers based on location and the needs of the site. Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
