Overview of Position

As a Sr. Business Analyst-Team Advocate, the complex technical solutions, often leading-edge technology, need to be translated and documented into terms with examples that an end user can understand.  That end user can be an agent processing an encounter, a developer coding the solution or a vendor/partner.  The current project involved artificial intelligence models, data lakes, and robotics enhancements.  This job sits at the crossroad of new processes, systems, and products.  As a direct support to the Program Manager, this function feeds and follows up on information that impacts the accuracy and timeline of implementations.

This individual has autonomy to create and maintain the business requirements of the product and collaborate across teams to decompose them.   The Sr. Business Analyst directly decides what they should escalate to the Program Manager and which tasks they feel they have the skill set to handle themselves to support Program Manager initiatives.  They will prioritize their day in accordance with the Program Manager initiatives but have the judgement to re-prioritize should new information be made available.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Gathers, develops, reviews and edits business development documentations to support the Program Manager vision through meetings and ideation sessions with architects, end users, operations, team members, leadership, and development staff.  Business development documentation includes (is not limited to) the following:  business requirements, business process flows, business case including financial model, operational dependencies, risks or key issues, stakeholders’ approval.
  • Collaborates with the various development teams and transformation team members to decompose the business requirements into the technical / functional specifications and system design recommendations through meetings and ideation sessions with the various staff members as appropriate.
  • Collaborates the with full product team to ensure a smooth progression and transition occurs through the development lifecycle (development, testing, full end-to-end testing, implementation, and support).
  • Assists in the follow up of Program Manager tasks and provides frequent updates on status deliverables by reviewing and updating assigned tasks on project schedules and action item logs.
  • Takes all relevant training courses and works closely with technical support staff to learn and build subject matter expertise in assigned transformation solutions.  This includes building knowledge base tools and collaborating with transformation team to enhance existing training materials.
  • Supports the development and validation of presentations for Program Manager meetings including daily standups, big room planning, technical touch bases, governance, and ELT demos.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 8+ years of applicable work experience in business analyst, programming, or product/project management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills will be a top priority in the creation and maintenance business development documentation
  • Financial analysis of the Return on Investment (ROI) is required as part of the Business Case
  • Review and assessment of complex work process, flow, and technical solutions
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills are needed to create and maintain business development documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate project messaging dependent upon the audience
  • Highly organized to ensure tasks associated with the multiple product initiatives are completed in accordance with the product timeline
  • Strong collaboration abilities to work with the pool of architects along with developers and leadership to address areas of abrasion and promote innovation
  • Strong presentation skills to formulate and present solution details, timelines and expected outcome

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • CPA/MBA preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma or Agile training/certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Access is advantageous

How much should I expect to travel?

This position will require less than 15% overnight travel.  Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
