Profee Medical Coder
Overview of Position
Experienced professional coder is responsible for daily coding, denial management, charge hold, RAI resolution and abstraction. The coder is responsible for escalation of coding questions and request for coding guidance to the Coding Coordinator and/or Supervisor. Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Provide coding and abreaction of physician or professional records
- Providecommunications to Coordinator, Supervisors and Managers
- Complete RAI's, denials, charge hold reports, and coding edits
- Assist on special coding projects as assigned
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional Coding Certification CPC, CCS or CCS-P required
- 1-3 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivityrequirements, Lead or Supervisory experience a plus.
- Proficient with Excel and MSoffice products
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
