Work Location:

• Emory - Decatur, GA

• Schedule: Rotating Schedule, Monday - Sunday, Some Holidays/Weekends

• Additional compensation will be provided for any time worked after 7PM Monday-Friday and anytime worked on the weekends.

Position:

Possess and apply thorough knowledge of collections and the ability to apply the knowledge to all aspects of patient account including insurance, billing, and collection processes; Identify problem accounts and reviews accounts for discrepancies and potential issues; May make recommendations to Manager on proper course of action to collect on account. Update and note actions taken on account; Contact via phone to determine and resolve issues or outstanding claims; Mail collection notices or letters to encourage payment of delinquent accounts; Sort and file correspondence.

Core Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED- One year experience in collections or Associate's degree in Business-

• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology

• Good communication skills

• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical, clinical or health care setting preferred

• Physical requirements include general office demands

Travel:

• Travel may be required to additional local hospital facilities
