To achieve the desired success, the finance function must deliver at the highest level of performance.  Change Healthcare is looking seeking Sr. Financial Analysts who will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis activities for the business they support within Change Healthcare.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis – Analyze and communicate the key metrics and drivers against history, budget, forecast, and strategic plan. 
  • Planning & Forecasting – Support the financial planning activities in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of requirements and results.
  • Modeling – Develop and maintain various financial models used to support decision making.
  • Operational Support – Support field operations in analysis of their financial performance and determining areas of improvement.
  • Special Projects - Carry out special projects as required.


Financial Analysis

This position is expected to provide timely, relevant, and accurate analysis and performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.

This requires this position to:

  • Analyze Results – Analyze the key drivers and metrics vs historical performance, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans and communicate results to leadership for decision support, plan reviews and operational reviews.
  • Process Improvement – Suggest & drive process improvement initiatives related to any planning, reporting or analytic process.

Planning & Forecasting

This position is expected to support the financial planning activities in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of results. This requires that the position:

  • Review and advise Leadership on budget and forecast results based on a thorough knowledge of the targets, history, metrics, resources, and initiatives at the business unit levels.
  • Utilize financial systems (TM1/PAx, Workday, SAP, and Oracle) to consolidate and report on plans and forecasts.

Strategic Planning – Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate strategic plan that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

Budget - Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate budget that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

Forecast - Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate forecast that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

Modeling

Maintain and develop various financial models used during the planning processes to support decision making by executive leadership, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review including:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting
  • Staffing
  • Other

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 3+ years progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, planning and forecasting, budgeting, and modeling.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Advanced experience with ERP system (SAP or similar) and financial planning system (TM1 or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred but not required)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence others and lead complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Hands-on attitude to get things done, with the tenacity to manage change to a successful conclusion. Demonstrated track record of delivering tangible results.
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced MS Excel skills, working with an ERP system (SAP or similar), Financial planning system (TM1 or similar).
  • Demonstrated personal commitment and drive to meet or exceed high standards and objectives.
  • Develops and selects well-reasoned actions to address business issues in a timely manner.
  • Modeling – Ability to create financial models for ad-hoc reporting and working with large volumes of data

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Business.  MBA a plus
