Scrum Master Core Technology

As a Core Technology Scrum Master, you will be invited to:

  • Work with a team to make agility work while honoring the agile principles
  • Grow a culture of belonging, learning, and growth on your team
  • Ensure the team owns the decisions made in team meetings, assisting as necessary depending on the team’s maturity and capability
  • Guide the team to ensure they understand the importance of technical excellence and reliability
  • Use metrics such as cycle time and cumulative flow diagrams to coach the team into higher performance
  • Use metrics and what you know from working with the team to tell a story that shows where the team is excelling and where they need support
  • Use your high levels of emotional intelligence to build relationships and lead by example and influence
  • Adeptly navigate questioning the status quo and inviting others to slowly shift their paradigms toward an agile mindset
  • Facilitate team meetings to ensure everyone gets the highest possible value from their time together
  • Partner with the product owner to help the team ensure work meets the team’s definition of ready and definition of done
  • Partner with stakeholders and collaborators to enable the team delivery of customer outcomes
  • Work with the team to identify and mitigate risks that the team can then manage, escalating risks that the team cannot manage to leadership
  • Grow an environment that encourages celebration when things go well and learning when things don’t go well
  • The ability to create an environment where conflict is transformed into productive conversations that bond people together instead of disagreements that tear people apart.
  • Communicate clearly, understanding and adapting to others' communication styles, in verbal and written formats
  • Expert level knowledge with Microsoft tools such as Office, Excel, Outlook,
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business need and possible quarterly travel requirements (for quarterly planning events)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years Scrum Master experience
  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to facilitate 1-2 teams at minimum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IC Agile or Scrum Alliance certification
  • Kanban Service Delivery Manager experience
  • TKP, KMP, PK1 or PAM certification a plus
  • Experience working in or managing infrastructure related teams highly preferred
